The Algarve is a great place to see birds, we all know that! It can also be a good place to see rare birds. A Sora (a Crake from North America) has been present in Silves since early January. The bird, only identified as a Sora last week has already attracted many birders. The fact that is it quite easy to see (and photograph) made this bird even more popular! Maybe it will still be there for the next Laid-back birding week, as we spend some tile in Silves… There are still places available. More info here.
