This small wetland is not part of our regular offer for day tours but can be a good option for an hour long tour or whoever wants to photograph birds. The area lies in Lagoa and probably gave its name to the locality. It is a great place to see Glossy Ibises (several hundred can be present in winter) and also several species of waders such as Black-tailed Godwit, Snipe or Black-winged Stilt. Spanish Pond Turtle is also present there. However, this place like others in the Algarve is threatened by development projects.
